Soprano arias from Verdi's Il Trovatore, performed that season, were the order of the day. Beautifully sung, with a wry and satirical lyric (courtesy of my illustrious colleague). My task was to be 'the orchestra'. Verdi on the ukulele, I surprised even myself by making it so.
